Pirates Island Waterpark in Jamaica

After a 18 million dollar renovation in 2004 and another 4.5 million in 2006, there is much to rave about including the waterpark. This waterpark boasts 27,000 square feet of wetness. There are yellow banana boats, tons of apparatuses for your child to slide around on, and the supervision you are craving so you can have some time off by yourself or with your spouse.
There is a height requirement at this waterpark for some rides but there is a Kid’s Zone for the smaller children. For older children and adults, there is a speed slide, tube slide, body slide and much more – a total of nine new slides. There is a Treasure Isle Aqua Play area.
Teens can come in from the beach to play their hand at the X-Box Game Garage, or try a heavier hand at the golf clinic designed for teens and adolescents.
Younger children have a Caribbean Adventure with Sesame Street characters. A petting zoo, beach volleyball, and kiddie pool will all keep some children busy when they are done at the waterpark.
Childcare: the supervisors are trained and certified which may help you in your decision making about trust.
There is an all-inclusive scuba diving program, three pools, two whirlpools, glass-bottom boat for exploring the sea by sight up close and personal if you want the entire family to see the wonders of nature. There are hydro-bikes, Hobie-Cats, wind-surfing, canoeing and kayaking.
If you want to dry off for a while, there is tennis for day and night, shuffleboard, fitness room, spa, billiards, croquet, ping pong, teen disco, dance club and more.
An on-site nurse is available, wi-fi and internet for the resort in general and in some rooms, five restaurants featuring Caribbean, Tex-Mex, barbequed, Italian and International menu items, all of which should help you find something enticing for every family member.
Round-trip airport transfers are provided for all guests arriving at the Montego Bay International Airport, which is about 90 minutes from the resort. Same for Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston which will mean about 2 hours sitting in an air-conditioned bus.
Inclusive at Boscobel Resort includes all meals and snacks, unlimited drinks, supervised activities for children, water sports, scuba diving, golf, rooms, taxes, tips and gratuities, airport transfers, Game Garage and the Caribbean Adventure with Sesame Street – all of which is a pretty sweet package considering some all-inclusives are selective about including so many amenities in their term of all-inclusive. For a family beach resort, you’ll know you aren’t shelling out every activity they want to try.
Rates: I checked out the rates of July 11 to July 17, with two adults and two children age 6 and 12, departing from JFK in New York as they ask about that re airport transfers I guess, and many of the rooms were sold out. I could book a Luxury Family Suite for $3,915.00 total which is after a 45 percent discount they are currently advertising. There are many suites available, and if this rate suits you, it is one of the lowest rates, including a seven night stay with one night free during that seven.
Rooms have a split level, with a living area and sleeping area. As well, the living area can provide more sleeping space. The rooms are large with some furnishings noted as basic, in order to endure family wear and tear.
If you could care less about any of the above, and just need a beach vacation, the turquoise waters and the white sand beach with a cool drink should give you the break you need.
Site is beaches.com and it will give you the Boscobel Resort drop-down option.
