There is the famous boardwalk, the Ripley’s Mirror Maze theme park, Trimper’s Rides and Amusement Park with old fashioned rides from days gone by, including indoor rides more suitable for children six and under, while outdoor rides are for every age, Ocean Bowl Skate Park with 17,000 square feet of concrete for avid inline skaters and skate boarders, and on an overcast day, try Old Pro Golf, which people love for its many creative and spectacular golf putt designs. It is miniature golf heaven, and there are four of them in Ocean City, with two indoors. You can try the Dinosaur Adventure theme, the Medieval Castle theme, the indoor Underwater Adventure theme, and there are also two pirate themes golf courses. Don’t forget if you’ve ever been interested in Assateague ponies, that you will be in wild pony country ten miles from the beach and Assateague Island.

Two other hotels to consider: The Edge in Ocean City has different themed rooms and is right at the water, with wonderful suites and balconies to watch the sunsets from. This may be more suitable for families taking older children on beach vacations. Then there is the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites right at the beach also, with great reviews, spacious rooms, two ocean front pools, the boardwalk as close as you can get for a hotel’s proximity, and full size kitchens in your suite to scramble up a quick meal if you so choose.
