Devonshire Beach Not a Good Destination for 2011

The town of Slave Lake has been hit by a major wildfire that leapt across bush and highways due to heavy winds on May 15, 2011 and over half of the town has burnt to the ground. Due to 100 km winds, firefighters were unable to continue on the ground or in the air to fight it. The entire town was evacuated. Slave Lake is by Devonshire Beach, and all amenities and services are out of Slave Lake. I would advise you to look elsewhere or talk to someone at Sustainable Resources Alberta, before traveling there this summer. Watch the footage and news on ctv or cbc.

Car Rental Site I Love

I’ve used carrentals.com  site at the bottom of this post, for several trips now, including Boston, Vancouver BC, Toronto and most recently Tampa. I’m thrilled that I found it and will always use it for my rentals because I get to compare prices with the various car rental companies all in one easy page. It will bring up the codes for the airports or if you want to rent somewhere else in the city it will bring up the available locations.
